Summary
TheElectronic Technician Isupportsthe installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of secure electronic and communications systems. This role applies foundational electronics and telecommunications knowledge to work with surveillance, intrusion detection, access control, and secure wired and wireless communication networks. The technicianassistswith diagnosing issues, preparing schematics, and ensuring the reliable operation of electronic security and communications equipment in support of mission‑critical environments.

The technicianassistswith diagnosing issues, preparing schematics, and ensuring the reliable operation of electronic security and communications equipment in support of mission‑critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Applies foundational technical knowledge to perform routine electronic maintenance and repair tasks by following detailed procedures and work instructions.
- Receives technical direction and oversight from a supervisor or higher‑level technician as needed.
- Assistswith replacing electronic components, wiring circuits, and repairing basic electronic equipment.
- Conducts testing and diagnostics using standard electronic test instruments, including digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
- Accurately records test results and observations to support troubleshooting and quality control efforts.
- Ensures work meets established technical standards and safety requirements; completed tasks are subject to spot checks for accuracy and compliance
Qualifications
- ActiveTop Secretclearance
- Accredited2‑ or 4‑year Engineering Technology degree, or
- Military veteranwith technical training and4+ yearsof relevant technical service, or
- Currently enrolledin an accredited Engineering Technology program with basic electronics coursework, or
- Accredited Engineering Technologycertificatewith6+ semester hoursin electronics‑related courses
- Basic electronics fundamentals (or equivalent)
- Tradecraft or vendor‑certified training in at least one applicable electronic system
- 2+ yearssupporting at leasttwoof the following systems:
- Radio or secure network communications
- Electronic physical security
- Intrusion detection or access control
- Video security systems
OR - Military veteransmay qualify with8+ yearsof specialized experience in one system listed above.
- Working knowledge of electronic theory and electronic equipment.
- Experience reading schematics and using electronic test equipment.
- Hands‑on experience testing, troubleshooting, installing,maintaining, or repairing electronic systems.
- Foundational knowledge of AC/DC circuits, solid‑state devices, RF/antenna theory, digital electronics, and power systems.

- Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines
