Model-Based System Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support advanced aerospace and defense initiatives in St. Louis, MO. This role will contribute to the development of complex, highly integrated systems with a focus on digital engineering and autonomy, supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.

Responsibilities for the Model-Based Systems Engineer include:

• Support MBSE implementation and digital engineering strategy across system development programs
• Work with engineering teams to support system design, modeling, and integration efforts
• Perform requirements analysis, system architecture development, and trade studies
• Develop and maintain SysML models using tools such as Cameo/MSOSA
• Support verification, validation, and test planning activities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with program requirements and delivery timelines

Qualifications for the Model-Based Systems Engineer include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 3+ years with Master's)
• Experience with MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw) and SysML modeling
• Understanding of systems engineering processes and lifecycle methodologies
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Previous Experience with Avionics Preferred
• Active Secret Clearance required

Compensation for the Model-Based Systems Engineer includes:

Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000 depending on experience
