Position: Data Visualization Developer
Location: U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command (JMC), Fort Bliss, TX, or work remotely near Ft. Eustis, VA.

Location: U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command (JMC), Fort Bliss, TX, or work remotely near Ft. Eustis, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dashboard Development: Working hand-in-hand with JMC staff sections and command group, build visualizations using Vantage, Power BI, Excel, Python, or R to support Army assessments and decision forums. For example, display a Common Operational Picture of tactical operations, continual synthesis and presentation of capability assessments during experimentation, key daily events, and other key information products.
- Real-Time Visualization: Deliver live dashboards during Army experiments and providing near-real time views of friendly and enemy tactical activities.
- User-Centered Design: Apply data storytelling and visualization best practices to produce executive-ready products.
- Integration & Automation: Incorporate dashboards into SharePoint portals (NIPR/SIPR) for collaboration, version control, and agile updates aligned to Army event timelines.
- Metrics Management: Maintain documentation, definitions, and consistency of metrics across exercises and After-Action Reviews (AARs).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute.
- Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.
- Experience:
- 3+ years in Vantage, Power BI, data visualization, or dashboard development.
- Proven ability to deliver polished, executive-ready dashboards and reports.
- Experience supporting exercises, assessments, or After-Action Reviews preferred.
- Familiarity with Army operational data and planning cycles a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong visual design and data storytelling skills.
- Ability to translate technical data into clear products for senior leaders.
- Knowledge of quantitative/qualitative visualization and UX patterns.
- Proficient in Vantage, Power BI; exposure to R, Python, or other visualization tools a plus.
