Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring for Production Hardware Electrical Engineer–in Tucson, AZ.

As a Production Hardware Electrical Engineer, you will:
• Assess and diagnose production and supplier issues to develop effective troubleshooting and corrective action plans.
• Communicate technical updates and action steps to cross functional teams to ensure timely progress.
• Lead root cause investigations and manage technical data packages and change documentation.
• Present change packages to review boards and drive closure of corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot electronic hardware and assemblies using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, power supplies, and spectrum/network analyzers.
• Analyze defect and yield data to implement process and quality improvements.
• Support general production engineering tasks and participate in peer reviews with engineering and operations teams.

This is 12 months Full- time- contract with possible hire opportunity.
Clearance Required: Secret

Required Skills
• Experience in digital, analog, RF, or mixed signal testing/debug of circuit card assemblies or electro mechanical systems.
• Hands on experience with root cause and corrective action investigations.
• Background in manufacturing or test support of electronic assemblies.
• Proficiency using electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.).
• Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.

Desired Skills
• Experience supporting production engineering in a high reliability environment.
• Knowledge of electrical design for CCA, RF, EO, sensor, or electronic subsystems.
• Familiarity with tools such as Mentor Graphics, PSPICE, MATLAB, Mathcad, CST, HFSS, ADS, or similar design/simulation platforms.
• Experience with subsystem integration and test, post test analysis, SPC methods, engineering change processes, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently or within small technical teams; experience with task coordination, cost estimation, reporting, and proposal support.

Pay Range: $60.00 - $ 65.00 per hour.
