Volt is immediately hiring for Software Engineer - TUCSON, AZ
Software Engineer is focused on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software as a part of on-site factory support of systems to support weapon system product development. The selected candidate will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using the software style, development language, and integrated development environment specified by the organization.
This is 12 months Full- time- contract with possible hire opportunity.
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Required Skills:
• STEM degree with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree
• Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio within a Windows Operating System (OS)
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple software engineering tasks concurrently
• Experience troubleshooting software and test equipment instrumentation
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering team environment
• Experience in developing and deriving requirements for software products
• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior software engineers
• Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques
• Experience developing software drivers for computer hardware interfaces
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces and data communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and RS-422
• Proficiency in using Unified Modeling Language (UML) for software architecture and design visualization
• Experience working within software development lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of Software Configuration Management (SCM) principles using tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps Server or GitHub
Pay Range: $80.00 - $ 90.00 per hour.
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
