Qualifications
For the GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing accounting systems, standard accounting codes, classifications and terminology and the ability to apply various accounting methods and techniques; 2) Enforcing procedures and regulations required to examine invoices, voucher, and related documents; and 3) Applying civilian pay and leave rules, regulations procedures, programs and systems, and civilian personnel rules and regulations that affect pay. NOTE: All experience must be fully demonstrated in your resume to be considered for the position.

- You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work; examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data, prepare and analyze reports.
- You will examine documents for accuracy to ensure compliance with regulations for goods and services, fulfilling contractual obligations.
- You will review to determine signature authentication and correct processing codes.
- You will review and determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government.
- You will post, examine, balance, and extract data from records to prepare reports.
- You will perform work to establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts; i.e. in and out processing, pay inquires, reviewing pay debts, and adjustments.
- You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
