Job Description

Red Canyon Technologies is seeking a Communications Data Analyst to support a federal program office responsible for outreach, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications initiatives. The Communications Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret data related to communications campaigns and engagement activities to provide actionable insights that inform leadership decision-making and improve program outreach.

This role supports the evaluation of communication strategies across multiple platforms and initiatives by developing performance metrics, analyzing engagement data, and presenting findings through reports and data visualizations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights that support strategic communication planning.

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics to track engagement across digital platforms, events, and communication channels.
  • Maintain and analyze stakeholder engagement data within databases or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Identify trends and insights from communications data to support improvements in messaging strategies and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with communications and program teams to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluation frameworks for communication initiatives.
  • Design and conduct surveys, stakeholder feedback efforts, and audience research to support communications planning.
  • Develop reports, data visualizations, and presentations that communicate findings to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable policies and data management practices.
  • Monitor emerging analytics tools and communication technologies to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in data analytics, preferably supporting communications, marketing, or public affairs activities.
  • Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong data analysis, data visualization, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple analytical efforts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and modern collaboration tools.
  • Secret security clearance required.


Preferred

  • Experience supporting federal government or defense-related communications initiatives.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder surveys or audience analysis.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics, search engine optimization metrics, or digital communications performance tracking.


Work Location / Work Environment

This position is performed on-site in Dayton, Ohio, supporting communications and program teams within a government program office. The role requires collaboration with communications specialists, program leadership, and stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
