Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to support the NIWC PAC Information Technology Management Support Services contract. The Cybersecurity Engineer I plans, designs, and implements security solutions that enable the organization to identify, protect, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. This role defines security requirements, develops integration plans, and ensures compliance with organizational policies, standards, and best practices. The position also monitors emerging cybersecurity threats and contributes to incident response, disaster recovery, and overall security governance.
100% onsite
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, and implement cybersecurity solutions to protect organizational systems and data.
• Develop security requirements using risk assessments, threat modeling, testing, and system analysis.
• Create security integration plans for existing and future infrastructure.
• Develop action plans for policy creation, governance, system hardening, monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery.
• Utilize tools such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), firewalls, and other security hardware/software.
• Review architectures and systems for consistency with organizational security guidelines and standards.
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and evolving industry best practices.
