Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
Summary:
• Administer and maintain large-scale Linux systems, encompassing software installation, operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.
• Ensure robust system security and implement critical operating system enhancements.
• Leverage expertise across various technologies including Linux CLI, Bash/Python scripting, Linux cluster environments, big data analysis with Splunk, VMware virtualization, Infrastructure as Code (Salt/Ansible), system monitoring with Nagios, and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.

Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Years of experience: 15+ years
Salary: $243k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Administer and maintain large-scale Linux operating systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage the full lifecycle of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, including installation, configuration, operation, monitoring, and problem resolution.
• Implement and enforce system security policies and deploy operating system enhancements.
• Provide expert Systems Administration in complex Linux cluster environments.
• Develop, test, and deploy automation scripts using Bash and Python to streamline operations.
• Utilize Splunk for comprehensive big data analysis, logging, and operational intelligence.
• Design, implement, and manage virtualized environments leveraging VMware technologies.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Salt and Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Configure and manage system monitoring with Nagios to proactively identify and address issues.
• Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration.
• Apply DevOps principles to enhance system reliability and development workflows.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation is beneficial.
