The Cloud Engineer will support commercial cloud services by engineering and operating managed cloud solutions. This role will be responsible for managing and supporting environments across Azure, AWS, and private cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports commercial cloud services
  • Engineers, operates and manages cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and private cloud environments

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:
  • Must have and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Must possess an active Security+, CE certification
  • Have mid-to-senior Cloud Engineer hands on experience
  • AWS/Azure; automation/scripting; secure networking (IPSEC/VPN/BGP) on-prem-to-cloud migrations
  • Experience in Computer Science or IT
  • Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects
  • Experience automating routine administrative tasks desired
  • Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN, and other secure transport technologies as well as Border Gateway Protocol
  • Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud
  • Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
  • Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git
  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline experience such as Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS CodeDeploy

Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience.
  • Senior IT experience in networking or equivalent experience
