Are you ready to shape the future of space-based defense systems? Join MTSI's team at the Space Development Agency's (SDA) and lead innovative modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts that drive decision-making for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) and its integration with multiple warfighter systems.
As an Enterprise Analysis Lead Engineer at the SDA, you will provide technical leadership and expertise supporting critical mission outcomes by leading enterprise-level modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) efforts. You lead the integrated enterprise analysis efforts at SDA while also developing critical solutions yourself. You will use multiple tools, both COTS/GOTS (such as STK and AFSIM) and custom SDA-made, to develop unique solutions to SDA's most pressing problems to ensure mission success. The PWSA consists of hundreds of satellites integrated together to provide mission objectives, so your experience working with large data sets, tool customization, and optimized workflows enables your success. In addition to leading the analysis efforts, you will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, manage a distributed team, and regularly communicate analysis results to senior leadership. This position will be located at our customer site in Chantilly, Virginia with the potential for regular telework.

Role and Responsibilities*
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- M&S Performance Analysis
- Lead performance analysis for SDA's Enterprise using COTS, GOTS, and custom toolsets
- Establish system requirements based on analysis results and warfighter feedback and input to with mission objectives.
- Verify enterprise-level requirements through detailed analysis efforts, ensuring they are technically sound and achievable.
- Conduct validation of system performance using data generated during Developmental Testing (DT) and Operational Testing (OT)
- Execute quick-turn analyses in support of external engagements and high-priority requests from SDA Leadership to address emerging needs.
- Explore current and future configurations of the PWSA and recommend changes to constellation architecture, system requirements, or capabilities based on analysis results.
- Support analysis of alternatives, trade studies, and evaluations of requirement waivers by providing estimated performance impacts
- M&S Toolset Collaboration
- Provide subject-matter expertise and prioritize updates for the M&S toolset based on identified gaps and evolving mission parameters.
- Identify recommended COTS and GOTS tools and support build vs buy decisions
- Mission Area Expertise
- Apply expertise in modeling critical mission areas, including but not limited to: Missile Warning, Missile Tracking, Missile Defense, End-to-end Kill Chains, Communication Systems, and Networks
- Leadership and Team Management
- Manage distributed teams across multiple organizations, fostering collaboration and ensuring unified integration of efforts.
- Coordinate complex analysis activities to produce timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Senior Leadership Engagement
- Translate complex modeling and simulation results into clear, actionable briefings for senior leadership and decision makers.
- Develop decision-quality insights to support leadership in strategic and operational planning.
- Regularly brief senior leaders on analysis results and trade studies
- Technical Proficiency
- Leverage technical expertise and experience to enhance M&S activities, including familiarity with the following tools and languages: AFSIM, STK, & Python
Qualifications and Education Requirements*
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading performance analysis activities at the enterprise level.
- Experience in modeling and analyzing one or more of the mentioned critical mission areas.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage distributed teams across multiple organizations.
- Effective communication skills for engaging senior leaders and translating technical results into actionable insights.
Preferred/Desired Experience:
- Proficiency in AFSIM, STK, and Python with hands-on experience improving toolsets and workflows.
- Familiarity with other COTS/GOTS modeling tools and toolsets
- Demonstrated ability to customize existing tools through scripts and techniques to automate workflows and work with large data sets
- Familiarity with Department of War enterprise-level systems and requirements validation processes.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. (REQUIRED)
