Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed K9-Patrol Driver Clearance Required in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal supporting a government location in an armed, driving patrol role. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance with calm, professional communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to appropriate personnel.
• Control access at designated points by checking identification, monitoring visitor flow, and directing employees and guests according to site protocols.
• Complete accurate reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift changes.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree is required.
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
• An armed guard card/license is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
