Team Lead (Data & Platform Division)

As a member of our Technology Solutions group, you will work with a team of technologists focused on delivering innovative business solutions using emerging technologies through proven successful methods.
Team Mission:
We operate at the intersection of modern software engineering and national defense. Our mandate is to deliver high-impact capabilities by acting as problem-solvers, technical stewards, and trusted partners of the mission. This team is a largely autonomous cell of the Data and Platform Division operating in a Major Subordinate Command, adhering to Center of Excellence standards while driving innovation and delivery on the front lines.
Role Overview:
The Team Lead is a player-coach who serves as the primary supervisor, client liaison, and product leader for a dynamic team of Power Platform developers. You will be the first point of contact for client stakeholders, translating their mission objectives into actionable technical requirements. You will protect the team's focus, foster a culture of "radical transparency" and "mission command," and ensure we are consistently delivering value to the user. In this role, you will often act as the Product Owner/Manager, guiding the team's priorities and vision.

Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and support a team of developers, fostering their growth and ensuring adherence to our "Doctrine of Delivery"
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface for clients and stakeholders, building trust, managing expectations, and ensuring clear, consistent communication
- Product Ownership: Define project goals, manage the product backlog, and prioritize work in alignment with the Commander's Intent. You ensure the "what" is clear so the team can execute the "how"
- Agile Facilitation: Lead the team in its Agile workflow, ensuring we "iterate to optimal" by shipping small and often
- Project Oversight: Ensure projects are on track, deadlines are realistic and met, and that bad news travels faster than good news to allow for rapid adjustments
- Client Engagement: Lead product demonstrations and be comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical audiences, from end-users to leadership
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading, managing, or supervising a technical team
- Strong background in Agile methodologies, with experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Team Lead
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements
- Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), SharePoint (Lists, Views, Sites), and Power BI
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and embracing the principles of "Mission Command"
- Experience leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams including Developers, UX Designers, QA, and Technical Writers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with React/Typescript development
- Experience with Vantage
- Familiarity with Azure services in a tenant separate from A365
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Product Owner)
