Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

We are seeking a Senior Scientist / Subject Matter Expert - Technology with extensive expertise with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (DASW(CBRND)) within the Washington, DC area to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert on CB defense physical programs including detection, protection, and decontamination technologies.
- Review and critique the S&T investment portfolio, analyzing technology development programs and technical performance across the CBDP.
- Design oversight initiatives to assess technical and programmatic alignment, monitoring technology readiness assessments and technology maturation plans.
- Evaluate technology transfer and transition plans, reviewing scientific proposals and technical documents for physical defense systems.
- Support ODASD(CBD) at international conferences and technical meetings, analyzing NATO programs on CBRN issues.
- Develop technology roadmaps and capability assessments, supporting Advanced Concept/Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations and Wargames.
- Develop CB vignettes for exercises with Joint Staff and Intelligence Community, supporting CBRN future threats and readiness assessments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- US citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in physical or life sciences (advanced degree highly preferred).
- Experience within one of the components of the Chemical and Biological Defense Program or with an interagency equivalent.
- Expertise in detection, protection, or decontamination technologies.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in chemical and biological defense.
- Experience evaluating technical solutions and providing expert recommendations.
