We are seeking a Senior Scientist / Subject Matter Expert - Medical with extensive expertise with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (DASW(CBRND)) within the Washington, DC area to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as subject matter expert on CB defense medical countermeasures, supporting oversight of medical programs across the CBDP portfolio.
  • Provide technical support for DoD-FDA coordination on CB medical countermeasure approvals, monitoring product development progress from R&D through FDA approval.
  • Review and assess medical countermeasure development programs, analyzing technical documents and scientific proposals for vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics.
  • Support government leads at interagency or professional medical meetings, providing expert consultation to government action officers on medical program strategies.
  • Analyze and recommend approaches to support medical countermeasure development, including biosurveillance strategies and interagency diagnostics collaborations.
  • Track medical countermeasure requirements and capabilities, interfacing with Requirements, S&T, and Advanced Development stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical analyses and reports on medical programs, reviewing JPEO-CBD medical program activities and capability gap assessments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • US citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in physical or life sciences (advanced degree highly preferred).
  • Experience within one of the components of the Chemical and Biological Defense Program or with an interagency equivalent.
  • Deep knowledge of medical countermeasures against chemical and biological threats.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical development, clinical trials, or medical research.
  • Understanding of FDA regulatory processes and DoD medical programs.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
