Quality Control Lead (Costa Rica) – 18209
Summary:
Leads site-level Quality Control for assigned aircraft and support equipment. Ensures compliance with maintenance manuals, technical data, and military specifications while supporting inspection, repair, and modification of complex aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform receiving, in-process, final, and flight safety inspections
Conduct functional and operational tests during maintenance and repair
Approve/reject work to ensure compliance with standards and technical data
Analyze defects and implement quality improvements
Oversee safety, training, and certification requirements
Conduct FOD and safety inspections
Manage tool control and calibration records
Review aircraft records in accordance with contract requirements
Supervise QC personnel and promote a strong safety culture
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
FAA A&P License (required)
10+ years aviation experience (8+ in aerospace programs)
Strong knowledge of military technical orders/specifications
Rotary-wing QC experience
Leadership experience
Spanish proficiency (L2/R2)
Preferred:
FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
Experience on UH-1 ST, Huey II, or Bell 212
Knowledge of Army/Air Force regulations and CFR Part 43/91/121/135/145
Customer support and technical writing experience
