Overview of Role:
The Installation Site Lead (Journeyman) serves as the primary on-site contractor representative and local operations manager at an assigned Air National Guard installation. This role provides daily oversight of all contractor personnel, service delivery, and equipment logistics at the base level. Responsibilities include managing local contractor scheduling and operations, coordinating with government staff and the Wing Communications Squadron, and communicating operational status and escalations with the Network Operations Center and program management. The Installation Site Lead enforces service level agreement standards and on-call response requirements, manages base access for all contractor personnel, oversees delivery and inventory of network equipment and spare parts, tracks government- and contractor-owned equipment, manages equipment staging for installation teams, and coordinates the return and disposal of legacy equipment in accordance with base procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Manages local contractor scheduling and daily operations; serves as the primary point of contact for base government staff, building managers, and the Wing Communications Squadron; coordinates with the centralized Network Operations Center and program management on operational status and escalations; enforces service level agreement standards and 24/7 on-call availability with a 2-hour on-site response requirement; manages base access coordination for all contractor personnel; coordinates equipment delivery, receiving, and local inventory management for network equipment and spare parts; tracks GFE and contractor-procured equipment accountability in accordance with DoD property management requirements; manages equipment staging and kitting for installation teams; and coordinates legacy equipment return and disposal per base procedures.
Educational and Certification Requirement:
3 to 10 years’ experience and a B.A./B.S.
5+ yrs field operations management; ANG/DAF base environment experience; ITIL Foundation preferred
