Salesforce Performance Test Engineer (Principal)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Salesforce Performance Test Engineer (Principal) to support a federal healthcare program. The Salesforce Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of Salesforce applications across complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities of the Salesforce Performance Test Engineer include:

• Develop and execute performance testing strategies for Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud environments
• Build and execute performance test scripts using tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter
• Simulate user loads across Salesforce UI, Experience Cloud portals, APIs, and batch/async processes
• Analyze system performance including response times, latency, throughput, and platform limits
• Identify and document performance defects with detailed logs and reproduction steps
• Evaluate performance of integrations including external APIs and data platforms such as Snowflake
• Analyze performance metrics related to Apex, SOQL, flows, REST/SOAP APIs, and Lightning Web Components
• Collaborate with developers and architects to optimize performance across code, configurations, and integrations
• Validate system scalability for high traffic environments, enterprise releases, and seasonal demand spikes
• Support Agile development processes including standups, sprint planning, and test case reviews
• Conduct peer reviews of test cases, scripts, and documentation
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated performance testing

Qualifications of the Salesforce Performance Test Engineer include:

• 8+ years of performance testing experience with at least 4 years focused on Salesforce environments
• Strong experience testing large-scale Salesforce implementations and understanding Salesforce architecture
• Experience with QA test management including functional and non-functional testing across UI, backend, and integrations
• Hands-on experience developing automation test scripts from scratch
• Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner (Performance Center), JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber
• Experience integrating testing tools with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub
• Strong experience testing API integrations including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL
• Experience testing Salesforce-to-Snowflake data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Ability to analyze performance reports and identify system bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
• Strong documentation skills including test plans, test summaries, and traceability reports
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Must be a U.S. Person and have resided in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years
• Must be willing and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Skills:

• Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant certification
• Experience supporting CMS or other federal healthcare programs
• Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Splunk
• Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe
• Salesforce Administration experience
• Experience with real-time vs batch data performance optimization

Compensation for the Salesforce Performance Test Engineer includes:

• Salary: $130,000 - $150,000
