The Payload Launch Sites Support Services
(PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support
functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The
program's two primary operating locations are
Vandenberg SFB, CA, and Cape Canaveral SFS,
FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.

The Engineer selected for this position will be
assigned to the Electrical Engineering team and
must have the ability to obtain a D.o.D
security clearance so they can work with
teammates to accomplish the proper
sustainment and operations of U.S. Government
security systems supporting Launch processing
activities.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• Assist in the sustainment and operations of the
Enterprise Access Control System, Perimeter
Detection System, Operational and Security
Closed Circuit Video Systems, Video Walls,
Monitors and displays, computers and networks
• Design, configure, document, and troubleshoot
IP Networks & VMware environments
• Perform installation, configuration, and
administration, of software, servers, operating
systems, and networking equipment
• Work with project engineers and field
engineers to support the performance of system
commissioning, validation testing, and system
demonstration
• Maintain as-built / as-configured / as-updated
records in accordance with system requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field
• Ability to work occasional odd shifts
• Must be able to work offsite, including some
out-of-state travel
• Must be able to work in a launch site
environment
• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a security clearance
Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with operating systems, Windows Client/Server,
VMware virtual environment (vSphere, vCenter,
and ESXi) Storage Area Networks and SQL
Server
• Familiarity with updating/configuration/monitoring utilities
such as Windows Server Update Service (WSUS),
Microsoft SMS, Windows Active Directory, PsInfo, WhatsUp Gold, and Veeam
• Familiarity with IP networking, such as network
devices including Cisco routers and switches;
Cisco firewall, VPN
• Familiarity with IT/IP-based systems such as electronic security systems, CCTV (closed circuit television) systems, audio-visual systems, and video wall systems
• Familiarity with security configuration/scanning/protective
applications such as McAfee, Nessus, RedSeal,
and Microsoft native software firewall
• Holds CompTIA's Security+ certification or higher
• Familiarity with Software House C-CURE application

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $66,200 - $114,655. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
