This position is for a Project Engineer and reports to the Senior Program Manager of the Future Payloads Portfolio within the Advanced Strategic Programs portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and integrate program management plans and processes with engineering, supply chain, physical and cyber security, and manufacturing operations activities
-Serve as the communication focal point between the Product Team, functional organizations, and program leadership to maintain alignment and cohesion across all stakeholders.
-Conduct thorough reviews of contractual documents such as SOW, technical specifications, RFPs, and change orders to ensure scope compliance and adequacy.
-Deliver verbal and written status reports, highlighting project milestones and progress.
-Collaborate with team to establish robust program plans, monitor & report program performance to internal and external stakeholders
-Coordinate staffing plans with program and functional leadership
-Coordinate external stakeholder site visits and meetings
-Assist in the generation of CONOPS and test plans to facilitate critical program activities
-Act as the liaison between procurement and engineering - assist in all aspects of hardware procurement
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in engineering, finance, or other relevant area from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience with customer and supplier interface
• Demonstrated capabilities in managing complex programs or projects
• Experience with classified program environments
• Final Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Ability to work and integrate with technical team members to understand all aspects of the product being developed/produced and the earned value implications
• Project Management (PM), Control Account Management (CAM), Finance & Business Operations (F&BO), and proposal experience preferred
• Classified program implementation experience with an in-depth understanding of cyber and physical security requirements
• Results-oriented individual with excellent analytical skills
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary environment
• Full understanding of supply chain processes including AR, PR, and PO generation
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
