Position Overview
We are seeking a Network Controller to support a 24x7 global Department of Defense network operations environment. The role focuses on real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response across a large-scale enterprise network supporting critical national security missions.
This position is part of a Network Operations Center (NOC) team responsible for ensuring availability, performance, and security of DoD networks and communications systems.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, track, and resolve network incidents using enterprise network monitoring tools
Troubleshoot circuits and network issues using router commands, alarms, loops, and error analysis
Identify and resolve monitoring errors through research, documentation, and analysis
Troubleshoot networking technologies on a live, global network environment
Create, update, and manage incident tickets using Remedy or similar ticketing systems
Escalate issues to higher tiers when necessary and follow established incident response procedures
Support mission-critical services across multiple DoD network environments
Supported Mission Areas
Enterprise network security and monitoring systems
Satellite communications gateway services
Airborne ISR communications support
Missile defense communications networks
Operational engineering, service activation, configuration management, and network security
Required Qualifications
High school diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree)
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) required at start date
Experience working in a 24x7 operations or NOC environment
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
Alarm surveillance and fault management
LAN maintenance and performance monitoring
Incident response and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including:
Routers and switches
Routing protocols and access control lists (ACLs)
Cisco and/or Juniper devices
Optical, transport, and IP-based network topologies
Clearance Requirements
Must currently possess an active Secret security clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
