Duties
Help
  • In charge of day-to-day operations for commands mission and objectives.
  • Follow Joint Fire Support Planning Process and the Joint Targeting Cycle to identify capability gaps.
  • Lead as the Senior Cyber Surveillance and Reconnaissance Specialist for management of the Fires and Effects division.
  • Provide plans and manage Cyber Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C-SR) activities by providing analytical skills to investigations of Cyber Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C-SR) programs.
  • Make recommendations and analysis of the Cyber Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C-SR) information in planning and full spectrum of the chain of command.
  • Develop and integrate policy and process into guidelines.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • The employee may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
  • The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP). Employee must pass initial and periodic random drug testing.
  • This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005, Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Applicant must have one year of directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by the 1. Blend technical cyber operations with strategic planning and coordination; 2. Lead functional expertise in cyberspace operations (CO) and analytical skills; 3. Create plans to collect and disseminate Cyber Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C-S&R) information across multiple intelligence sources; 4. Integrate and process cyberspace operations to shape operational decisions; and 5. Direct and coordinate work as a first-level supervisor.
