As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents while delivering clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures at an aerospace and defense location.
- Carry and maintain authorized firearms and other assigned equipment in accordance with all licensing, training, and use-of-force guidelines, and document required checks and qualifications.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter fencing, monitoring for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and/or policy violations that may help to deter incidents.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed, and completing detailed incident reports.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, screening vehicles and/or deliveries as required, and maintaining accurate access logs and key control records.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
