Duties

  • You will plan, establish, and execute effective total life cycle Logistics Integration tools and procedures for the program office and assigned aircraft weapon system.
  • You will evaluate and influence the most effective use of human and financial resources to meet the goals of the assigned program/project.
  • You will foster and maintain working relationships with program stakeholders to resolving conflicts as well as coordinate and implement Logistics Integration procedures across the affected program elements.
  • You will act as a Contracting Representative for the H-1 Modernization and Contract Maintenance Services.
  • You will serve as a central point of contact for Modification Site Operations, fleet coordination and liaison, TD kit management, and facilities and operations management.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of Specialized Experience include:
1) Identifying, planning, and executing logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of aviation weapon systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements.
2) Coordinating maintenance and logistics planning, integration, and management of maintenance as well as logistics support elements throughout the aviation weapon systems life cycle;
3) Monitoring progress in meeting the logistics plan and identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems;
4) Adjusting plans and schedules for all related actions as required by delays or changes to logistics requirements;
5) Evaluating program plans for and provision of logistical support for feasibility, efficiency, and economy, and to develop alternatives when required;
6) Developing and implementing product support and maintenance concepts and requirements for assigned systems to achieve assigned program goals and objectives;
7) Participating in risk management processes and early identification of aviation weapon systems integration risks;
8) Managing technical directives and ship change or similar agency documentation in support of assigned program/project;
9) Developing and reviewing program, technical, and agency mission documentation to provide authoritative input and direction on all logistics and maintenance issues and requirements;
10) Assisting in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support aviation weapon systems engineering and acquisition phases; and
11) Preparing and delivering presentations to customers and program stakeholders to address support posture and justify logistics requirements and implementation.
