Role overview
IVERTIX is building a junior engineering team to support the DoD ADVANA platform across multiple tracks: Software Engineering, Data Engineering, AI/ML, DevOps/SRE, Qlik/BI, and Data Governance. You’ll start by supporting senior engineers and grow into owning features, pipelines, models, dashboards, and services.
What you will do (you may focus on one or more tracks)
Software / Full‑Stack:
Build and maintain web UIs and APIs using JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Angular) and Python/Node/Java.
Data Engineering:
Help design and operate ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Databricks/Spark, cloud data services, and data models (fact/dimension tables).
AI/ML:
Support data preparation, model training, evaluation, and basic MLOps workflows using Python (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and cloud ML tools.
DevOps / SRE / Kubernetes:
Assist with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), Kubernetes/EKS, monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana), and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform).
Qlik / BI & Analytics:
Build and enhance dashboards and reports in Qlik Sense, Power BI, or similar tools using SQL and governed data sets.
Data Governance / Quality:
Support data cataloging, metadata, data quality checks, and access reviews using governance tools and standards.
Across all tracks you will:
Write, test, and debug code or queries.
Follow secure coding and DoD security/compliance practices (training provided).
Work in Agile teams (stand‑ups, sprints, code reviews) and document your work clearly.
Basic qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data/Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent hands‑on experience (projects, internships, bootcamps).
0–3 years experience (academic, project, or professional) in at least one of the tracks above.
Experience with at least one language: Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly.
U.S. Citizen, willing to undergo investigation to obtain a security clearance.
