Duties
Help
  • Reviews individual transactions input into the DISA accounting and/or budgetary systems to ensure quality of data. Monitors the receipt and posting of transaction data into the DISA accounting system.
  • Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis and resolution of complex program and budgetary requirements related to obligations, expenditures, projections, etc. to compile budget information and initiate proper adjustments.
  • Analyzes and performs reconciliations of financial statements, reports, budgetary documents, and allotment ledgers with the related files of un-liquidated obligations, unpaid accrued expenditures, contracts and orders outstanding.
  • Applies knowledge of the Federal Budget process to perform a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties including, but not limited to the formulation, execution, justification, and presentation for assigned programs.
  • Participates in audits relating to the budgetary and accounting data, providing information to auditors from activities.

  • This is a drug testing designated position.
Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position is required.

Specialized experience is defined as: Experience processing funding documents, evaluating financial transactions for regulatory compliance, and utilizing financial databases to analyze and present budget data to management.

Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level.
