Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol with Active Clearance in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and respond to changing site needs with an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Support access control activities by checking credentials, directing visitors to the proper check-in process, and/or monitoring entry and exit points in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to site contacts, and assist with investigations by documenting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
