Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Area Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location as an armed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings, production areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access at gates, doors, and checkpoints by verifying identification and credentials, processing visitor entries, and documenting deliveries and pickups in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, supporting evacuations, and coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, access control actions, and incident response, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
