PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Aerospace Quality Inspector- Enfield, CT. Job ID#215688
Pay Rate: $21- $25/hr
Job Description:
Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
Provides objective evidence of results
Performs auditing, surveillance, and monitoring. Identifies and documents discrepancies
Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.
Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects.
Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicate with vendor as needed. Disposition and control of on-conforming products.
Obtain and maintain Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative Stamps for at least three customers (or as applicable by Site size); Active use of stamps required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years of related work experience using of calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and Smart scope
Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures
Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous aerospace inspection experience
Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
