Job Summary
  • Seeking a Manual Test Engineer to perform component, integration, and system-level testing to validate software functionality and performance
  • The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong experience in system, integration, and end-to-end testing within fast-paced, Agile environments
  • The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of software components, interfaces, and testing methodologies, with the ability to develop comprehensive test procedures, test data, and acceptance criteria

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform system, integration, and end-to-end testing of software components and modules
  • Develop, implement, and execute test procedures, test plans, and test reports
  • Support software configuration management processes, ensuring proper version control and traceability
  • Analyze and understand software components and interface requirements across the system
  • Develop test data sets and define test acceptance criteria aligned with requirements
  • Provide expertise in test methodology development and test procedure documentation
  • Review and validate test plans and testing strategies for completeness and accuracy
  • Conduct subsystem interface testing and software module validation
  • Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring proper resolution and verification
  • Collaborate closely with Software Development, Systems Engineering, Integration, Deployment, and Sustainment teams to support system quality and performance

Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • At least 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must have experience testing through a full system development life cycle, including implementing test plans, test cases, and test processes
  • Must have experience participating in formal test events (Acceptance Test, User Acceptance Test, Software Final Release Test, Maintenance Release Test, etc.)
  • Must have experience collaborating with software developers to create formal test procedures.
  • Must have experience working with physical equipment in a test lab environment
  • Must have experience collecting, analyzing, presenting test results verbally and reporting test results in writing
  • Must have experience utilizing elevated privileges to set up and execute manual test procedures
  • Must have experience documenting test results for corrective actions, reporting, and audits
  • Must have experience testing systems from existing system and functional specifications
  • Must have experience working in an agile team environment
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to successfully communicate with both management and technical personnel

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience using automated test tools
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (i.e., Java, shell, Python, etc.)
  • SAFe® Agilist or DevOps certification

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

125,000 - 175,000 USD per year (AJ6)
