Barbaricum is seeking a Senior Power Platform Lead (SME) to support enterprise application development and data visualization efforts for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Fort Meade, MD. This role will serve as the technical subject matter expert for the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate), leading the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical solutions.
The selected candidate will provide technical leadership across a portfolio of dashboards, applications, and automation initiatives, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions. This position will also provide oversight of the supporting SharePoint Online environment and advise senior leadership on platform strategy, governance, and capability development.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the designated Power Platform SME, providing expert-level guidance on data visualization, data modeling, Power Fx, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• Lead the architectural design and development of enterprise solutions leveraging Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Own and manage a portfolio of 8+ Power BI dashboards, while leading development of an expanding portfolio of dashboards, applications, and web solutions.
• Design and implement integrations across complex data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, and SharePoint, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Lead platform and site migration efforts, ensuring alignment with technical strategy and successful execution across the development team.
• Analyze and re-engineer acquisition and business processes, providing recommendations for automation and optimization using the Power Platform.
• Author and deliver required program documentation, including status reports, technical documentation, training materials, and process improvement strategies.
• Provide strategic technical guidance to senior government stakeholders on Power Platform capabilities, roadmap development, and requirements definition.
• Develop and deliver usage metrics and performance reporting to inform decision-making and demonstrate platform value.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for the SharePoint Online environment, ensuring operational health across 80+ sites.
• Perform content management activities, maintain data accuracy, and resolve issues such as broken links within established service-level timelines.
• Provide technical mentorship and oversight to development staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in application development, security, and data management.
Required Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 8-10+ years of experience with demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and enterprise Power BI).
• Proven experience leading the delivery of complex, integrated solutions using the Power Platform within a government or enterprise environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of data modeling, data transformation (Power Query), and advanced DAX development.
• Experience leading large-scale business process automation initiatives and dashboard development efforts.
• Demonstrated experience conducting business process analysis and re-engineering, preferably within a DoD or Federal environment.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks and advising senior stakeholders on enterprise technology strategy.
• Ability to produce executive-level deliverables aligned with government standards and contractual requirements.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting DISA or other DoD agencies.
• Familiarity with the DISA Action Officer Guide and federal documentation standards.
• Experience managing or supporting SharePoint Online environments at scale.
• Experience implementing enterprise governance for Power Platform environments.
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600).
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400).
• Microsoft 365 Administrator or SharePoint Administrator certifications.
