Responsibilities
Provide support by facilitating the oversight and direction of staff actions, ensuring staff compliance, and ensuring the Front Office is prepared to successfully execute the duties of the day. The Contractor establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the organization's internal and external stakeholders, thrives in a work environment with high expectations, and executes diverse work assignments while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Perform administrative tasks including maintaining records, schedules, and correspondence.
- Preview staff packages and documentation to ensure compliance with standards set forth in HQ Operating Instruction and other related staff guides.
- Communicate the Principals' direction to staff officers in coordination with government leadership, as required.
- Monitor progress on staff action items, track progress against suspense deadlines, prepare periodic reports on action status and keep the principals aware of late, pending, new actions.
- Manage records generated during the execution of the principal's projects and programs in accordance with statute and regulations, as well as military directives and instructions.
- Make recommendations and prepare briefings, point papers, and other materials based on the principal's direction.
- Working familiarity with typical HQ staff packages and documentation to include Electronic Staff Summary Sheets (eSSS), "buckslips", memoranda, and official letter correspondence.
- Proficiency with using Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications.
- Experience working successfully with senior executives at multiple organizational levels.
- Experience fostering stable and productive working relationships that communicate expectations and promote cooperation.
- Experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Exemplary writing and editing skills with strict attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly adjust to changing work environments while maintaining high levels of performance and support.

- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Working familiarity with typical HQ staff packages and documentation to include Electronic Staff Summary Sheets (eSSS), "buckslips", memoranda, and official letter correspondence.
- Working familiarity with standard HQ task and correspondence coordination tools to include Enterprise Task Management System (ETMS-2), and Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
- Proficiency with using Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications.
- Experience working successfully with senior executives at multiple organizational levels.
- Experience fostering stable and productive working relationships that communicate expectations and promote cooperation.
- Experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.

- Familiarity with Defense Space and National Security Space in the areas of policy, strategy, requirements, capabilities, architectures, programs, acquisition, and operations.
- Familiarity with civil, commercial and international space capabilities.
- Experience with AFSPC, SMC, NRO, NASA, NOAA.

- Bachelor's Degree and 3-7 years of relevant work experience serving in a headquarters (HQ) staff element
