Seeking an AWS DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps processes, best practices, and their application in the Federal Health IT space. The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure while improving automation, monitoring, and security. This role requires hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines, provisioning infrastructure using Terraform, and supporting event-driven AWS architecture.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to manage cloud resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with DevOps best practices and project goals.
Monitor system performance, availability, and security, and implement improvements as needed.
Support event-driven AWS architectures, including Lambda, API Gateway, and other serverless services.
Design and Implement Cloud monitoring solutions, create dashboards providing observability and ensure security.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
Document processes, configurations, and workflows to ensure operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
Must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
Experience provisioning and managing AWS resources, including: Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon VPC, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Step Functions, AWS Transfer Family for secure SFTP-based file transfer integrations.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and architecture.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency with Git-based version control systems (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
Experience with event-driven and serverless architectures on AWS.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts including VPC, subnets, routing, NAT gateways, and security groups.
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
Experience with CloudWatch
Expertise in optimizing cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in science, technical, or engineering discipline.
AWS Associate Certification (Developer, Solution Architect, or Sys Ops Administrator)
AWS Professional Certification (DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect)
Demonstrated experience in container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR
Demonstrated experience with Languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell Scripting
Demonstrated experience with Ansible, or Puppet.
