Your role and responsibilities
L2 Support Engineer - Microsoft 365 (O365) & Entra ID
We are looking for an experienced L2 Support Engineer with strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 Administration, Entra ID, Identity Governance, and Email Security. The engineer will manage daily operations, troubleshooting, implementations, and security posture across O365 workloads, Entra ID identity services, DNS/email authentication, and security gateways.
1. Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Manage users, groups, roles, Conditional Access, and MFA policies.
- Perform Application Registration, API permissions, secret key creation, certificate generation, and app deletions.
- Troubleshoot SSO, OAuth, SAML, and modern authentication issues.
Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Configure and manage PIM for Entra roles.
- Monitor and approve JIT role activations.
- Review privileged access and generate compliance reports.
2. Microsoft 365 Workloads (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
Exchange Online:
- Manage mailboxes, DLs, permissions, retention, and troubleshoot mail flow.
Microsoft Teams:
- Manage Teams, Channels, meeting policies, and resolve client/voice issues.
SharePoint Online:
- Manage site collections, permissions, external sharing, and sync issues.
3. Microsoft Defender & Security
- Manage Defender for O365 alerts, safe links, phishing, malware.
4. Purview & Data Lifecycle Management
- Manage DLP, retention labels, eDiscovery, auditing, and records management.
5. Email Security & DNS
DNS Records: MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CNAME, SRV, Autodiscover.
Barracuda Email Security Gateway:
- Manage filtering, quarantine, routing, spam scoring, IP reputation.
6. Azure AD Connect
- Monitor sync health, troubleshoot sync errors, password sync issues.
7. Zoho Mail (As needed)
- Manage mailboxes, DNS, and migrations.
8. Operational Responsibilities
- Handle L2 tickets, perform RCA, ensure SLAs, prepare reports, participate in migrations, audits, and maintain documentation.
