You will be the Production Operations Lead for the Production Operations team. Our team is responsible for driving production operations excellence across new development programs.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Production Operations Lead you will be responsible for leading cross-functional efforts that ensure new products meet production requirements and are delivered on schedule.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers to meet production requirements.

  • Partner with Design Engineers to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly.

  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain to align procurement and logistics.

  • Support proposal generation and contract-funded product development.

  • Analyze and resolve programmatic issues across multiple locations.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, cost, quality, and schedules
• Manufacturing experience in Optics, IR Sensors, or Lasers
• Previous lead or leadership experience
Desired Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
• Experience with manufacturing automation concepts and implementation
• Experience with manufacturing simulation / modeling tools
• Experience with advanced manufacturing and materials concepts including additive manufacturing
• Experience in proposal estimating for Operations functions
• Ability to act as a liaison between multiple functions including external subcontractors
• Ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
