MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, or similar technical degrees.
• Experience with aerospace materials (polymers, composites, metals, etc) - development, production, educational, and/or testing of materials.
• Project Management experience and/or technical leadership experience within materials
Desired Skills:
• Experience working in a Lab Environment or previous experience working in a hands-on and/or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with electrical and magnetic behavior of materials.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, chemical material characterization techniques.
• Experience with data analysis, review, compilation, and presentation.
• Excellent technical documentation and writing skills for creating/revising material and process specifications, reports, and test plans.
• Excellent teammate. Willing and able to work in a laboratory environment by themselves or with other team members
• Experience with project planning and project management
• Experience establishing, tracking, and maintaining deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to plan/coordinate lab activities
• Experience building effective internal and external customer relationships
• Advanced degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or equivalent
• Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations to supporting teams and leadership

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
