About The Role

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA's Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. Peraton is seeking a Sr Systems Engineer to support complex Alaska-based technical and operational efforts. This role will provide senior systems engineering expertise to help define, coordinate, evaluate, and support implementation of technical solutions across challenging operational environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or support senior systems engineering activities across assigned efforts.
  • Analyze requirements, interfaces, dependencies, and technical constraints.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, stakeholders, field personnel, and leadership to support systems planning and execution.
  • Review technical documentation, requirements artifacts, and supporting deliverables.
  • Support system implementation planning, testing coordination, and technical issue resolution.
  • Identify risks, integration impacts, and execution concerns and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare technical analysis, briefings, and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
Work Location / Additional Requirements
  • This position is based in Anchorage, Alaska.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to and support field sites and remote locations, as required.
  • Ability to work in austere environments and Arctic conditions, including remote site access and limited-amenity accommodations.
  • Willingness to comply with applicable site safety, badging, and operational requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience; or 10 years experience with Masters Degree, or 7 applicable experience years with PHD.
  • Extensive experience in systems engineering, technical coordination, or related engineering support.
  • Experience supporting complex technical environments with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting FAA, aviation, weather, or remote operational programs.
  • Experience supporting field-based implementation or geographically dispersed systems.
  • Familiarity with integration planning, system documentation, and technical reviews.

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
