Sr. Systems Engineer
Full-Time with an Employee-Owned and Best Places to Work Certified Contractor
On-site in Huntsville, AL
Responsibilities:
- Lead critical efforts to prototype, develop, integrate, demonstrate, and test advanced Joint Tactical Integrated Fire Control (JTIFC) cross-Service kill chain capabilities in support of the MDA and Joint Services mission.
- Develop a high-fidelity radar simulation capable of representing current Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) systems, as well as supporting future concept development.
- Provide radar expertise to key JTIFC efforts, specifically related to Electronic Protection.
- Develop and execute system architecture and design, systems documentation, systems requirements, and systems verification.
- Mentor junior engineers in radar and Model & Simulation.
- Coordinate efforts across the DoD services, to include multiple government and industry partners, through leadership in related Integrated Product Teams and Working Groups.
- Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking Government stakeholders.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Develop and execute a research growth strategy with MDA and other Service organizations by identifying stakeholder needs and government and industry partners to leverage capabilities.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Top Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 15+ years of technical and project management experience
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex systems of systems integration efforts from initial concept definition through integration and test, incorporating complex threat scenarios
- Expert knowledge and experience with Missile Defense System (MDS) components, including sensors (RF/EO/IR), command and control, fire control, and weapons. This includes, but is not limited to, IBCS, THAAD, Aegis, CEC, TOC-L, F-35, CBC2, CAC2S, G/ATOR, and C2BMC
- Experience running complex systems of systems programs/projects across their lifecycle from concept definition through fielding and sustainment
- Experience with and in-depth knowledge of DoD operations, concepts, and technologies.
- Ability to grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Agency
- Excellent problem-solving skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel 2-4 trips per year with multiple destinations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Related STEM field
