Summary:
We are seeking experienced BusinessObjects Engineers (BOBI) to support the migration and reconfiguration of SAP BusinessObjects assets (universes, reports, dashboards) from an on-premises environment to a secure, cloud-hosted infrastructure in AWS. This role will involve working closely with DB2 and SQL Server teams to ensure seamless data connectivity, validating business logic, and redesigning report layers where necessary to align with new schemas or AWS-hosted databases.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess existing BO universes, Web Intelligence (WebI) reports, and Crystal Reports to determine migration requirements.
• Migrate reports and metadata models from on-prem BO environments to a rehosted or containerized platform in AWS (e.g., EC2-based deployment).
• Refactor universes and queries as needed to point to AWS-hosted data sources such as DB2 on EC2/RHEL or SQL Server on RDS.
• Resolve issues related to drivers, connectivity, joins, filters, prompts, and query performance post-migration.
• Support report validation, stakeholder sign-offs, and regression testing cycles to ensure data fidelity and logic consistency.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers and system administrators to tune BO performance, configure authentication, and implement scheduling/alerts.
• Assist in setting up BO access controls, folders, publication workflows, and job schedules in the target environment.
• Document report migration decisions, universe changes, and architecture alignment with security and compliance expectations.

Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects development, including WebI, Universe Designer (IDT/UDT), and report scheduling.
• Experience migrating or upgrading BusinessObjects environments, including across platforms and database backends.
• Strong SQL skills and experience integrating with DB2 and SQL Server data sources.
• Familiarity with BO security model, group management, and user provisioning.
• Working knowledge of deploying and operating BusinessObjects in a cloud-hosted environment (AWS EC2 preferred).
• Ability to perform validation and troubleshooting in enterprise reporting pipelines
