Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Manufacturing Operations Analyst- Experienced Electrical Workplace Coach in Berkeley, MO!

As a member of this team, you will continuously develop and manage the structure to enable the pace and performance of the Skill Enhancement team. You will maintain positive relationships with multi-function team leaders and drive a deep understanding of the One Boeing Production System principles and standards, production health, and problem solving.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.
  • Analyzes and interprets data. Provides feedback on assessment results.
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes.
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
  • Works under general direction.
  • Serve as the on floor electrical subject matter expert (SME) providing hands on coaching, troubleshooting mentorship, and just in time guidance rather than formal classroom instruction.
  • Observe technicians during electrical system tasks (avionics interfaces, wiring harnesses, power distribution, electrical power generation/distribution, circuit protection, lighting, instrumentation, batteries, actuators with electrical controls) to identify skill gaps, unsafe practices, and opportunities to improve workmanship and first time quality.
  • Provide targeted, task level coaching on fault isolation, test equipment use (multimeters, oscilloscopes, loop testers, avionics test sets), harness repair, connector pinning, wire routing, bonding/grounding, and installation best practices.
  • Demonstrate complex electrical procedures and model proper installation, routing, and termination techniques to reduce variability and defects
  • Partner with quality, safety, and engineering teams to ensure repairs and installations meet inspection, airworthiness, and company quality standards.
  • Capture and disseminate lessons learned, common wiring/harness failure modes, and effective troubleshooting techniques to reduce repeat defects
  • Participate in root cause investigations for recurring electrical issues and help implement practical corrective and preventive actions at the workplace level.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product electrical systems, test equipment, safety protocols (electrical safety, lockout/tagout), and Boeing processes
  • Promote and model a safety first culture and human factors awareness; provide constructive feedback that improves performance while preserving team morale.
  • Ensure that all training and coaching activities are documented in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • 5+ years years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly installation
  • 5+ years of experience with Fiber Optics Repair and Terminations
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources
  • 5+ years of experience with any of the following: avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting fault isolate complex electronics systems
  • 5+ years experience with wire harness repair
  • 5+ experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting, routing, splicing, connectors, bundle dressing, etc.
  • Experience coaching in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 + years of experience with electrical and/or instrumentation test equipment


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff
  • Experience with root cause corrective analysis
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
