VMware Certified Associate (VCA) required at start
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) must be obtained within 6 months

As a Virtual Server Administrator, you ll support the integrity and performance of a secure, virtualized Microsoft server environment critical to national defense. You ll perform hands-on administration, patching, monitoring, and issue resolution in a fast-paced DoD environment at Quantico. This role is ideal for a cleared IT professional with VMware experience looking to deepen their skillset in a mission-driven setting. What You ll Do:
Manage and maintain Microsoft-based virtual server environments
Perform daily system health checks, apply patches, and maintain uptime
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues (VMware, AD, DNS, DHCP)
Work with cross-functional teams and government reps to resolve incidents
Utilize remote server management tools and follow change control procedures
Maintain accurate system documentation and compliance with DoD standards What You Bring:
5+ years of hands-on IT systems administration experience
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization
Working experience with VMware (vSphere, vCenter) and clustering
Ability to manage patching, system audits, and infrastructure troubleshooting
A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
