Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Targets Systems Engineer who will provide technical and advisory assistance to Targets Program Office by aiding in the refinement and implementation of Target trajectories in support of the agency's flight test events to validate the weapon and system sensors.

Responsibilities

• Support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Directorate for Test (DT) Targets program office with the development of missile defense target vehicles.
• Support the Targets System Engineering team in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test including requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, and test analysis and reporting
• Work with weapon system teams to help ensure Target Specification and Requirement documents are understood and correctly flowed to production teams
• Ensure the development of Flight Test trajectories falls within the capabilities of the target system while fully testing the weapon system
• Understand the real-world threat environment and how to use current and future test assets to create realistic test events to prove out the defensive systems
• Work with the Flight Test teams to ensure target systems are developed and integrated in time to support the IMTP test needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects
• Active DoD Secret security clearance, which requires US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field (e.g., physics, engineering, math)
• Familiarity with MDA and/or DoD programs and processes
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, and other programming languages
• Experience with telemetry systems, data acquisition, and analysis
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnel
