Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Purview Administrator to support a federal program in Washington, DC. The Purview Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft Purview applications within a highly secure Microsoft 365 environment supporting a government customer. This position can be performed onsite in Washington, DC or up to 100% remote.

Responsibilities of the Purview Administrator include:
- Design, implement, and maintain data governance and compliance policies including data classification, sensitivity labeling, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies
- Deploy and configure Microsoft Purview and integrated Microsoft 365 services within enterprise environments
- Administer role groups, custom roles, and permissions within the Microsoft Purview portal
- Monitor and optimize governance and compliance policies to ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements
- Implement information protection and insider risk management solutions to protect sensitive data
- Respond to data protection incidents and assist in security investigations
- Manage and support eDiscovery workflows including data collection, search, and export for legal and compliance teams
- Collaborate with data architects, security teams, IT teams, and business stakeholders to implement governance best practices
- Provide training and guidance to users on data protection tools, governance policies, and compliance requirements
- Support system enhancements and improvements within the Microsoft 365 and Purview environments
Qualifications for the Purview Administrator include:
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of progressive IT experience OR Associate's Degree with 10+ years of experience OR 12+ years of equivalent IT experience
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Purview
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and data security principles
- Experience implementing data loss prevention (DLP), data classification, and sensitivity labeling policies
- Experience working within Microsoft 365 environments and related services including Microsoft Entra ID
- Experience supporting risk assessments, compliance audits, and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to develop and implement security and compliance policies
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Experience scripting or automating tasks using PowerShell
- Experience supporting federal or regulated environments
- Familiarity with information protection and insider risk management tools within Microsoft Purview
Compensation for the Purview Administrator includes:
- Salary: $125,000 - $140,000
