A Day in the Life - What you'll do
- Support the full lifecycle of AI/ML solutions-from problem definition and data collection to model development, deployment, and monitoring
- Develop and validate machine learning models using modern frameworks, ensuring accuracy, performance, and mission alignment
- Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps teams to integrate AI/ML models into production environments
- Communicate AI/ML insights and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while supporting continuous model improvement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 2+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 0 years of experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance required to start
- Experience or familiarity with AI/ML techniques including deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and reinforcement learning
- Programming experience in Python, R, or similar languages
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras)
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and prompt engineering
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or engineering domains
- Familiarity with MLOps and deploying models at scale
- Experience with A/B testing and performance evaluation of AI/ML models
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices
- Experience working with sensitive or regulated data environments
- Experience in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments
- Knowledge of missile flight characteristics, motion, and atmospheric dynamics
- Understanding of trajectory analysis, countermeasures, debris modeling, and signature modeling
- Experience with missile system models and performance analysis
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
