Overview
A rapidly growing technology company is seeking a Frontend Engineer to support the development of high-performance enterprise applications used by leading pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations.
This role focuses on building modern, scalable user interfaces that support complex workflows and data-driven applications.
The ideal candidate has strong experience developing production-grade applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks and enjoys working in fast-paced environments where engineers have high ownership over product development.
This position is based in San Francisco, CA and requires regular onsite collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Frontend Development
• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using React and TypeScript
• Build reusable UI components and scalable frontend architecture
• Implement modern frontend patterns including React hooks, state management, and component-based development
User Experience & Design Implementation
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to implement intuitive and polished user interfaces
• Build responsive and accessible user interfaces supporting complex enterprise workflows
Integration & Performance
• Integrate frontend systems with backend APIs (REST, JSON, GraphQL)
• Optimize application performance for large datasets and complex workflows
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI bugs and performance issues
Engineering Collaboration
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, backend engineering, and design
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience
• 3+ years of professional work experience within the United States
• Strong proficiency with React (Hooks / modern patterns)
• Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience building production SaaS applications or enterprise platforms
• Experience implementing design systems and component libraries
• Familiarity with API integration and frontend debugging
• Experience using version control systems such as Git

• Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, Tailwind, MUI, or Storybook
• Exposure to AI-enabled products or LLM-based workflows
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
• Experience developing applications in regulated industries such as healthcare or life sciences
