Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Principal Mission Assurance Engineer - Level 3 to join our team in Chandler, AZ. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Relocation is not available for this role.
The Principal Mission Assurance Engineer - Level 3 defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Job Responsibilities:
- Advanced and autonomous program Quality Management System (QMS) support (implementation, auditing, and some process improvements).
- Leads advanced data program requirement reviews.
- Supports management driven process improvement efforts related to program mission assurance improvement initiatives.
- Leads/Provides advanced support to the program for all mission assurance activities.
- Leads and guides customer meetings with advanced efficiency.
- Locate, identify, and verify internal and customer requirements with advanced efficiency.
- Provide direction and guidance for advanced level issues related to program requirements verification.
- Provides advanced processing of requirements supporting closure of mission assurance findings.
- Assists program mission assurance managers with customer product delivery assurance efforts.
- Provides advanced support to the mission assurance team with data collection and assembly.
- Supports department metrics analysis and reporting to program/management.
- Drives complex requirement negotiations and can lead mission assurance program initiatives.
- Creates/writes technical manual and desktop procedures with minimal help from team lead.
- Has an advanced understanding of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis (5-WHY, Fishbone, 8D).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering +5 years of experience; Masters Degree + 3 years of experience
- Understanding of RF systems and components
- Technical background in avionics production
- Interdepartmental collaboration and communication skills
- Process improvement projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Government DoD security clearance of Secret (or above)
- Experience with Flight Termination Systems
- Experience with RF and Avionics test sets
- Experience with RF components
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Tipqa - Creating NCs, writing dispositions, and addressing RCCA.
- Extensive experience with RCCA analysis, investigation, and implementation
- ADG Manufacturing processes
- Experience with MDA/DCMA as customer base
- Customer requirement derivation and auditing
- QMS knowledge
- Configuration management
- Team leadership
- Ability to Mentor/train new hires
