Sr. Active Directory/Exchange Specialist DBA

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking an Active Directory/Exchange Specialist Sr. (DBA) to support the Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group (MCCOG) in Quantico, VA . This full-time onsite position plays a critical role in maintaining and modernizing enterprise-level directory, messaging, and database systems that underpin Marine Corps cyberspace operations. As a senior member of the Exchange, Directory, and Messaging (EDM) team, you will support the buildout, upgrade, administration, and troubleshooting of highly secure Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and PowerBI environments. Your work directly enables critical cyber missions and the secure operation of the Marine Corps network architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and configure an upgraded instance and SQL cluster to support SolarWinds.
• Develop new documentation and technical guides to support future system builds and the removal of all SQL 2016 instances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve outdated queries for PowerBI Dashboards.
• Maintain, administer, configure, and troubleshoot Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server, and ADAM environments.
• Manage and maintain the Global Address List (GAL) and other enterprise directory services.
• Conduct Tier II triage and escalate Remedy tickets appropriately.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server performance, virtualization environments, and event logs.
• Provide advanced system administration support across AD, Exchange, and server platforms.
• Collaborate daily with the EDM team to meet mission requirements and improve operational efficiencies.
• Support modernization initiatives across MEC, AD, Exchange, and SQL platforms.

Requirements (MUST-HAVES):

• 10+ years of IT experience
  • (Includes professional, military, academic, internships, and contracting experience.)
• Extensive experience with:
  • Active Directory administration
  • Exchange administration
  • Windows Server configuration and troubleshooting
• IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security, etc.)
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• General knowledge of:
  • Virtualization environments
  • Event monitoring
  • Server administration
• Proven Tier II triage and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to create detailed technical documentation

Compensation to Include:

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 **depending on experience**
