As a valued member of our team, the Platform Systems Proposal Lead will report directly the Platform Systems Element leadership and include the following responsibilities:

• Lead development of Platform Systems inputs for proposals and Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) estimates across the CPS program based upon request for proposals received from customers in support of both follow-on and new business opportunities. Coordinate inputs from all Element teams.
• Develop proposal strategies for Platform Systems as well as support the development of the technical baseline for the proposals.
• Provide timely and accurate insight into key program impacts or opportunities to the Platform element leadership.
• Establish and strengthen customer relations both internally and externally, and prepare cost/price proposals that are clear and compliant with customer requirements.
• Understand and assess the financial dependencies, contract deliverables, schedule, risk and opportunities, and sourcing requirements for the proposal.
• Develop and present clear and complete proposal kick-off packages.
• Have strong analytical thinking and business acumen skills, exhibit exceptional organizational skills, demonstrate proactive thinking, operate autonomously as appropriate, and produce work products within critical path deadlines.
• Responsibilities include support to Estimating Manager, LM Platform Systems Leadership, Proposal leadership, customer audit/internal audit, and negotiation of cost proposals.
• Balance workload and perform other related duties and special assignments as required.
• Engage regularly with government officials and LM senior leadership.
• Manage customer interactions, communication, and overall satisfaction.
• Support transition and staffing planning for current contract and all follow-on program contracts.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education
• Knowledge of program life-cycle and how early milestones may drive future costs
• Previous Proposal, BOE (basis of estimate), and/or Negotiations experience
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and presenting complex data in an easy-to-understand format.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to develop and present cost proposal financial data for review by management
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge and experience with Hypersonic or Weapon System programs, products, and the overall mission
• Experience with Navy or DoD/DoW programs
• Experience with subcontract management and LOE contract management
• Previous CAM (control account manager) or project lead experience
• Desire to enhance Program Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, and building strong relationships
• Previous systems engineering experience in one or more of the following areas: Model Based Systems engineering, requirements, verification, integration and test, system safety, specialty engineering, or project engineering
• Previous engineering experience in a technical role
• Demonstrated ability to build Customer confidence and intimacy across multiple Mission Partners, LM Business units, and Program Areas
• Experience with managing development contracts
• Experience with internal and external customer audits
• Risk & opportunity management experience
• MS Office/Project, COBRA
• Active or Current DoD Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
