Inserso is seeking to provide Senior Endpoint Management Administrator (MECM / Intune / Adaptiva) to support our Government customer. This position provides Tier 2 operational support for enterprise endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft Intune, and Adaptiva within a large-scale enterprise environment. The role supports the operations, maintenance, and administration of hybrid endpoint management systems, while monitoring enterprise asset and security platforms such as Axonius and Tanium.
The Senior Endpoint Management Administrator will support enterprise application packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management across MECM and Intune environments. The role will standardize application deployment processes, maintain configuration baselines, and document system parameters and operational procedures supporting enterprise endpoint compliance. The administrator will provide technical leadership supporting the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and operational support of enterprise endpoint management platforms, ensuring reliable software distribution, patch compliance, and device configuration management across a large federal environment. The role will manage enterprise software distribution and endpoint configuration policies while ensuring compatibility across hardware and operating system platforms. The administrator will monitor logs, alerts, and compliance dashboards to proactively identify issues and support operational monitoring activities.
Responsibilities:
Support the daily operations, administration, and maintenance of enterprise endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft Intune, and Adaptiva.
Support the transition of endpoint management capabilities from MECM to Intune where appropriate, while maintaining operational stability of existing MECM infrastructure.
Support Hybrid endpoint management environments including MECM and Intune co-management, ensuring consistent policy enforcement, application deployment, and patch compliance across the enterprise.
Administer and troubleshoot enterprise operations including:
Software deployment and application lifecycle management
Patch management and vulnerability remediation
Device configuration and compliance enforcement
Endpoint client health monitoring and remediation
Develop, maintain and optimize PowerShell automation to support endpoint configuration, application deployment reporting, and operational troubleshooting.
Provide advanced troubleshooting support for endpoint management issues including:
MECM client health issues
Application deployment failures
Patch compliance issues
Endpoint policy conflicts between MECM and Intune
Support enterprise software packaging and deployment processes including the creation, testing, and maintenance of application deployment packages for COTS and custom software.
Support enterprise endpoint monitoring and asset management platforms including Tanium and Axonius to improve visibility, security posture, and operational awareness.
Ensure compliance with enterprise patching and configuration standards across a large-scale environment supporting 40,000+ managed devices.
Generate operational reports and dashboards detailing:
Patch compliance status
Deployment success metrics
Endpoint health and operational performance
Participate in customer meetings related to security vulnerabilities, patch compliance, and endpoint operational performance.
Lead technical discussions and provide operational recommendations to improve endpoint management processes and automation.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and modernization of endpoint management processes and tooling.
Manage and triage ServiceNow ticket queues, perform trend analysis and root cause investigations, and document resolution activities.
Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure operational issues are resolved efficiently.
Provide weekly operational status reports and updates to program leadership.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
10 years of experience in IT support or related field.
3+ years administering enterprise endpoint management platforms (MECM, Intune, or similar).
Experience supporting Microsoft Intune or modern endpoint management platforms.
Experience creating deployment packages for COTS and custom applications in an enterprise environment (30,000+ users).
Experience administrating Microsoft Windows server environments.
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows enterprise desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Windows Server environments.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
ITIL certified.
Experience in ServiceNow ticketing system.
Experience supporting DHS or other similar federal agencies.
Experience supporting Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (Current Branch).
Experience supporting Intune device management and modern endpoint management architectures.
Experience supporting large federal enterprise IT environments.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Installer to deploy multiple Cumulative Updates and Service pack.
Experience supporting Enterprise IT operations for 30,000+ users
