Duties
Help

• You will assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty.
• You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
• You will promulgate approved financial management policies within the organization based on DON policy and develops and issues implementing procedures.
• You will assist in managing and oversees all aspects of the budget execution process.
• You will helps develop and implement the annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• You will monitor and analyzes expenditures to ensure compliance with fiscal policy, regulations and spending limits.
• You will lead and mentors a team of budget analysts, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability

• This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience directing and/or performing continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
• Experience providing interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution; develops format and content to provide manager with various listing, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations.
• Experience ensuring the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports.
• Experience coordinating the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization
